A hero's welcome?

joseph ejercito estrada, former president, free citizen, return to Polk St., San Juan, pardon

This is what I had viewed after the former president had been released from his house arrest in Tanay, Rizal. According to the news, the family of the former president was a bit surprised for the sudden release of their beloved relative, but was expectant that he will be released sooner or later. More over, supporters of the ousted president also stresses that they "took the former president hastily from his house in Polk Street to be detained but was too late to be returned back to them in San Juan."

What was this? Could somebody use a baseball bat on me so that I'll be able to wake up from this nightmare? I don't know what to say? This was the first time, ever, in Philippine history that a convicted person, released from his detention was accepted back by the community with utmost desire and welcome like he did nothing wrong more so was hailed like a hero. Really ironic!

If Philippine politics was like a chess, and the President was the main player, I must admit, the country's in the wrong hands, moreover nearing the end of the play. This was a result of an unintellectual move coming from the incumbent president, and I pity her for doing that. Lastly, let me quote what the former president of the Philippines, Fidel V. Ramos had said on his interview, "that the president's power is nearing its end."
