Another people power?

"Choosing between the lesser evil..." I had once learned in a political forum what this old cliche means. If my memories serves me right, it was during the political instability brought about by the Jose Villarde Account by the once president of the republic, now deposed. Choosing the lesser evil, as it is literally and figuratively, was the most significant line of that time, that stirred people to instill the now incumbent president of the republic.

Now as the republic is being dragged again to another instability caused by numerous allegations and accusations that needed direct answers; it had made me ponder whether it was really worth it to replace the sole person who should had managed the democracy that was inherited from the third republic or did the sovereign people made a huge mistake in partaking to the second people power that had placed the so-called "lesser evil" in a position that is vulnerable to huge demand of temptation which in a fact also had it's roots buried for more than a century. I was also wondering, was there ever a politician in this republic that is good prior to ascending to the position and steps out of the said position he or she had served as a better law maker and individual? I doubt whether there really was an individual that can resist all the temptations enveloped in the rotten system of government that this republic has.

Now the same scenario exist again. Sovereign people are being called again to march towards the streets to ask and to force the president to step down of the position she had, as a lot of people views it, usurped from the former president, for she had became a victim of the temptation within the rotten system of government. Then what next if ever the incumbent president is ousted by the people and other extraneous forces? Would things change the way the sovereign people wanted it to be? I certainly doubt whether the reforms the sovereign people, including me, will ever take into effect, because the root of all the corruption still exists in the government per se.

If ever the sovereign people would again empower themselves to act for the change, and for that change to take effect, the sovereign people should at least see to it that the next person to inherit the position should not inherit the same corruption that spans for more than a hundred years. The sovereign people should in effect call for a plebiscite to change the system of government and the kind of governance they wanted to see so as to eradicate the roots of corruption embedded within the old system. Why are we called sovereign people where power lies, if we can't change the whole system the way we wanted it to be?

I do hope this as well help you out in thinking whether to support the call for the ousting of the incumbent president of the republic or you're just like me waiting for the proper time the sovereign people will realized that despite the urgency of the stopping the conjugal greed being exhibited by the first family, the corruption still exists and persist even if she was ousted or not, because the system of government itself is buried in corruption. valentines... an insight

piolo pascual, clear, valentines, black valentines poster, clear black valentines posterValentines? Oh it just skipped.

Am I an Islam? No. I'm a Catholic. But why did valentines just passed over? I just don't have a single clue.

Pondering over the years this season had passed, I think I'm not used to celebrating it, not for lack of romance, but for lack of knowledge to it. With all honesty, I do admit that, I really don't have any idea why this season is ever celebrated. To whom do catholics tribute their praises with in this season? Who, if ever there was, the patron saint of this season and why was this old tradition patterned on that saint?

I know answers to those questions were a few clicks aways - consult wikipedia, or other encyclopedias. But with all honesty and without looking to encyclopedias, do you have any slight idea why people celebrate valentines?

Yeah, call me bitter or any other terms you like, but I think the reason behind commemorating such annual event should be first instilled in people's mind prior imbuing commercialism on it.

Looking through the past hours that had slipped through, nothing, not even a concise information about valentines was shared through to public television. What was more blatant was the fact that indeed this season was commercialized! Flower vendors, prices, of flowers slowly going up, motel and hotel accommodations, etcetera, etcetera, these is what the news was all about! A hard evidence that commercialism took its lead role on public information dissemination, rather than what was informative. At times, I would rather just grab a book and read it, rather than watch news, because the latter seems uninformative, the way that it should be otherwise.

Anyway, I think I had spared my thoughts and that I seem to be harsh on what I said, so I do apologize for ruining your elated and blissful view on the said season. But do remember that every single thing here on earth had a viable reason to stick to. Hence, if a bouquet of flowers arrived at your doorsteps, think hard, were this flowers given because of an intense overwhelming emotions from the sender, was it given because it was obliged by the "screwed" norms, or was it given because it was what the television shows suggests to its ever loyal viewers - pure commercialism? A Series of Unfortunate Events: Bad Beginning, Insight

lemony snicket, bad beginning, series of unfortunate eventsWhen bad luck strikes, it strikes! But I had never imagined that it would strike successively that it could cause a series of very unfornate events not just for a single individual, but for three children.

As the title itself had state, this book is truly a series of unfortunate events that had started in a bad beginning and likewise will end that way. More so the author has no intention, whatsoever, in making this book something that will enlighten someone's soul due to profound joy, but instead it serves to be an eye opener that harsh things do exist at the onset of losing someone special to you.

With all honesty, the book per se is good to read, despite its despressing nature, because for once a reader can actually read a sad story without making him or herself cry, or even languish at the fact that the the children depicted in the book needed some emotional support which doesn't exists at all. It's a good read because there is no emotional attachments associated on how it was written. I mean writing it in third person, or narrator's point of view surely helped lessen the chances of depicting the true emotions of the charaters that were being described. Moreover it's written simply for easy understanding devoid of any personal associations on the part of the reader.

But is the sad book recommendable? I doubt this book is recommendable for the public to read. As its first line suggests this book isn't about happy endings, hence if your not into it, then don't read it. Read More......

history... genealogy... census... a tedious process.

I was thinking if public documents (i.e. retrieving colonial Spanish documents like birth certificates, census, et. al.) were easily accessible over the so-called internet network, then delving into the past wouldn't be that cumbersome. If such was possible, then it wouldn't be so hard to go to the region most likely that would contain answers to your specific questions, and there is not a need to fall in line just to acquire the certain documents most likely viable to the reason why you were existing today. Not that those documents might prove something in your present living existence, however, it might actually help in determining who you really are.

As I've learned in Biology, every human being stems from two different individuals with different characteristics combined, and those people also had their characteristics as a combination of their predecessors. These traits are embedded in the genes and being passed down through generations to generations. Most likely than not, these passed on details might lead on to something that isn't known yet to its possessor.

All I'm pointing out is this, history plays a vital role in a certain individual, and without knowing your own roots, then most likely than not, you just end up living and feeling empty - feelings of existential vacuum may do arise.

If I where to ask you, do you know where you originated from? Of course the common reply would always sum up to yes, I came from my parents, and my parents came from my grandparents. However it does ends there, only a few can actually give a precise genealogy of their family, and seldom people adds up misconstrued information that is being passed over to the next generation. Hence, I do ponder whether is it possible to centralize the censuses in certain government offices, so as to extract remnants of the past that might be the missing piece on a certain individual's life. But most likely, that wouldn't end in fruition because of the major threat on communication systems in the las islas Filipinas. Read More......
